Herculaneum VI.27. Steps to upper floor.

Wallace-Hadrill wrote that this was the doorway to stairs from street to upper apartment at no.27, above the rear of the Casa del Colonnato Tuscanico.

A clear example of multiple occupancy in last phase.

In a room on the upper floor,14 gold coins were found, together with a bronze seal with the abbreviated name of M. Co. Fru.
